He has a lovely gentle nature and is a very much loved pet of ours.  He has a thick double coat and is white with gold coming through on his ears and topline. Karo is our first ever White German Shepherd. Karos parents were black and gold who carried the white gene. Karos grandmother was an ANKC registered sable-coloured female who had a fully registered white father and a black and gold mother. This was in the good old days, when the ANKC still registered whites on the main register and allowed them to be bred from. Many of the registered whites in Karos pedigree earned significant ANKC obedience and tracking titles. His pedigree is concentrated of quality lines, and what we White Shepherd people in Australia call "the old Victorian whites", such as Alpenwolf, Avonbel, Bayein & Spidola dogs, as well as well-known and influential GSD Champion lines. Our Vet and White Shepherd Club Veterinary Consultant stated that Karo is excellent genetic material for the breed. Karo is very light on his feet and has a lovely ground covering gait which everyone comments on. Karo has movement very rare in the Australian whites. Karo is retired from breeding and is now de-sexed. He spends his life running our house and being our vocal snugglebug.
